General settings
Here you find out which general settings you can make.
Requirements
Under Specifications you define the measurement system. You can also restore all factory settings here.
Note: Changes in the specifications only apply after restarting the program.

In the navigation tree, select the entry General > Specifications.

Make the desired settings:
Section Element and description Measurement system Here you can choose if you wish to use a metric or Anglo-Saxon system when calculating and displaying distances. Icon size This is where you specify the size which routing parameter symbols are displayed. View Here you can show or hide the Support Chat. Default settings The button can be used to restore all details in the Settings window to factory settings.
Note: This action cannot be undone!
Currencies
Here you determine the currency in which the calculated costs are shown. In addition, the exchange rates stored in the system are displayed. You can edit the exchange rates as required.
Note: Changes made to the currency or the exchange rates only apply after restarting TLNplanner internet.

Currency |
Use the drop-down list to specify the currency for calculating and displaying costs. The currency selected here is the reference currency for the exchange rates shown. |
Exchange rates |
The exchange rates for the selected reference currency are displayed in the table. Setting Use up-to-date exchange rates If the option is enabled, the current exchange rates are displayed. The exchange rates are largely based on information from the ECB (European Central Bank) and are regularly updated. Option Use customised exchange rates If the option is enabled, you can edit the displayed exchange rates in the table. Note: The customised exchange rates are valid until you change the reference currency or enable the Use default exchange rates option. |
Tip: If you wish to restore this window to factory settings, click Restore default.
Minimum wage
Minimum wage shows the countries in which the national minimum wage also applies to transports which are driven by drivers from overseas into that country (see Effects of the European minimum wage act on forwarding and logistics).
Note: If you wish to take the minimum wage into account when calculating costs, you must enable the corresponding option in the wage profile and select the wage profile when route planning (see Include minimum wage).
Select the entry General > Minimum Wage in the navigation tree.
Make the desired settings.
Countries in which minimum wage for foreign transports applies

If the option is enabled, the minimum wage for the country will be taken into account. Note: The option is enabled by default and cannot be changed. |

Driver | The current valid minimum wage for the driver in that country is entered in the Driver column. You can change the amount. |
Delivery/Pickup | If this option is enabled, the minimum wage will be taken into account for a delivery/pickup in the country. |
Cabotage | If this option is enabled, the minimum wage will be taken into account for cabotage in the country. |
Prior notification | Shows whether prior notification of the transport is required in the country. |
Valid from | Set the point in time from which the settings should be taken into account in cost calculation. |
Pickup/delivery/cabotage check
In seven European countries, the national minimum wage also applies to transports which are being driven into that country by drivers from overseas. Depending on the country, the national minimum wage must be paid in case of cabotage and/or for pickups/deliveries.

Help
Under Help you define if and which information you wish to see on the user interface.

Make the desired settings:
Section Element and description Notes Here you unhide help window and dialogues that you previously switched off. Short introduction If you are using a program function for the first time, a short tutorial is shown. To show the tutorial again, click on the button and log in to TLNplanner internet again.
My profile
You can specify how the program's interface should look after starting. Here you have the possibility of saving your current settings in your profile, such as the opened use cases, selected routing options or visible columns. Your profile is loaded each time that the program is opened.
Under My Profile Under Profile you determine which settings are automatically saved when you leave the program.
Note: Your profile is only saved automatically if you have highlighted the appropriate option under My account.

Current map section If the option is enabled, the current map section is saved. Visible/selectable address types If the option is enabled, the next time the program starts up, the map objects that you checked in the map toolbar under Visibility will be shown again (see Map functions). Address search country If the option is enabled, the countries that are currently selected for the city search are saved. Address types search town If the option is enabled, the currently selected address types under are saved. Freight search settings If the option is enabled, the currently selected options are saved during the freight search. Optimisation settings If the option is enabled, the defined optimisation settings are saved (see Customising sequence optimisation settings). |

Routing parameter |
The current status of the selected routing options is saved through the routing parameter.
